Q. How do I use this website?
A. Our ordering process is easy. Just click on one of the delivery dates at the top of the screen. Select the meals that you like, and hit the checkout button. Submit your payment info via our secure site and we'll deliver your meals between 5pm and 8pm on your delivery date.

Q. Do you have a minimum order amount?
A. If your order is over $50 there is no delivery charge within our service area. Orders under $50 will have a $20 delivery charge added.

Q. What areas of Austin does Chef Veggie delivery to? What if I live outside the delivery area?
A. Chef Veggie delivers to the following zip codes. If your home zip code is not listed here please send us an email.

Q. Are any of your dishes vegan, raw, gluten free, etc?
A. All vegan, raw, and gluten free dishes will be labeled clearly in the description. Many items will have both vegan and lacto-vegetarian options. You can choose which you want when adding the item to your cart.

Q. How big are the portions?
A. Our portions are large. We try to satisfy even our hungriest customers. And if there are leftovers, you'll have a yummy lunch the next day! Here's a side-by-side comparison of an Amy's Lasagna with a Chef Veggie Lasagna. Remember that you get a side dish with each entrée as well!

Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. We use PayPal as our payment processor, so you can pay with any major debit or credit card, as well as by direct debit from your bank account.

Q. What kinds of ingredients does Chef Veggie use?
A. Chef Veggie uses all natural ingredients, with 75% or more being organic and local, when possible. All dairy products are free of RBST and hormones, and mostly organic. Chef Veggie does not use any preservatives, artificial ingredients, msg, trans fats, hydrogenated oils or other franken-foods. Our dishes include fresh produce, healthy fats, whole grains, herbs and spices. We do not use Teflon or aluminium pans.

Q. Will you take custom requests for meals?
A. If you have special requests for items that you don't see on the website, please send an email to info@chefveggie.com. We'll do our best to accommodate you.

Q. When are your menus posted?
A. New menus are available at least one week before the delivery order deadline.

Q. What are your ordering and delivery days?
A. The order deadline is 11:59 pm on Saturday for the following Tuesday evening delivery. Once your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email, and the Veggiemobile will deliver your order between 5pm and 8pm on Tuesday.

Q. What if I'm not at home?
A. If you're not home we'll leave your order in a crate at your front door. If you have any special instructions for delivery please enter them on the order form when you check out.

Q. What kind of containers do you use?
A. Most of our containers are made from 100% recycled paperboard, and are compostable and recyclable. (We are still looking for a corn-based PLA container for salad dressings) Our containers are endorsed by the Green Restaurant Association. You can toss your used paperboard containers right into your compost pile if you wish.

Q. I really love your lasagna. No, I mean I really LOVE your lasagna. Can you make it for me every week?
A. If you really enjoy a particular dish and want to eat it every week, please log onto the site and write a good review. We'll consider it for inclusion in the All the Time category.
